Reinhold Will ALWAYS Prioritize Family/Independent Farms Over Corporate Monopolies
In an interview with Sam Knoll at KFNF Oberlin, Lauren stated she will fight for a strong, modern Farm Bill that provides farmers the support needed to modernize their crops, improve efficiency, and increase earnings. Although the first district appears vastly varied, she pinpointed that we all share the same needs: to have a job, business, or retirement income that pays all the bills, with money left over to save for the future.
Lauren noted she is not a "party-line" candidate. She stated she has been listening to Kansans and learning the needs, adding she is "ready to do the work" to take Kansan interests to Washington DC. However, in contrast, the incumbent Congressman has not held a town hall for almost two years, and is rubber-stamping this administration's policies, which are impeding Kansans' prosperity.
Lauren addressed the need to adequately fund and strengthen Medicare and stated there is a simple (and fair) resolution to uphold Social Security. Citing her experience working in the federal government, and emphasizing that she has always worked for efficiency in government, she talked about how Congress needs to get back to work, and that her knowledge and expertise in government will make a big difference.
