About Lauren

Meet Lauren Reinhold

Lauren Reinhold has been a Kansan for 32 years, an attorney for 28 years, a longtime federal employee, and a workers’ rights advocate committed to strengthening rural communities, protecting the middle and working class, and restoring integrity to public service.

With more than 25 years of experience in public institutions—including her role as Attorney Advisor at the Social Security Administration —Lauren has dedicated her life helping families navigate federal systems, advocating for fair treatment of workers, and building efficient, people-centered government.

Committed to ensuring government functions well, Lauren planned to continue a long career in federal government administration. Unfortunately, her plans changed when DOGE cut SSA programs, slashed people-centered initiatives across the government, and eliminated thousands of jobs within her agency. Lauren reluctantly resigned from SSA, deciding she could make a greater impact outside the government by advocating for the retention and restoration of crucial programs that benefit Kansas families. She raised her family in Lawrence and is proud to call Kansas home.

Now, Lauren is running for Congress to defend true Kansas values —community, hard work, economic security, freedom, and prosperity for all.

“Together we can protect working families, strengthen rural communities, and build an affordable and thriving economy for all Kansans.”
